2. I don't know who Sara Evans is, but don't you think it's odd...

...that you puchased her music, presumably because you liked it-- and I also presume that the songs she recorded didn't have any overt offensive political content-- but you've "trashed" the disc because you found out that in real life she's a republican? With all due respect, do you think it's a good idea to let the republicans-- or politics in general-- dictate your taste in music, especially non-political music?
