1. Agreed.
The public DOES need to hear from the candidates. I'm glad Obama's sticking to his guns on this.

18. How elitist!
You just know there will be accusations that Obama must not care about the people of the country if he proceeds to push for the debate as scheduled. Clearly, the argument will go, he's in it for his own political ambitions. :eyes:

3. Totally agree. If Mc doesn't show up, just let his podium be empty. It'll give Obama more time.
Then the Mc camp will be very, very sorry he didn't show up.

10. If Obama had "suspended" and asked for a delay...
You know for sure they would have called him a coward and a chicken.

Come on, people, I am tired of this.

13. Barney Frank has said both members of Congress are very close to an agreement
on executive compensation, on oversight, and on protecting the taxpayer

He said they don't need bush to interrupt an already scheduled meeting in Congress for this political stunt

It should be finalized within 48 hours

I certainly hope people see through this garbage

12. My dad just told me about this!
BULLSHIT.
What has Obama said about it?
I don't think it will reflect well on McCain. People will wonder why he doesn't want to debate and preach his message of experience, er- I mean, change!
