IMO, Early voting is much too early, starting tomorrow in some states. This is foolishness is just
a ploy by some states to have a trap door, a ready made legal excuse to cause havoc if the ticket of either party changes.

Or the worst case, to collect a bunch of valid ballots to pull out of a grab bag as needed to favor a candidate in need of a push in the count.

The excuse is that military mail takes so long to get back from the front. (A easy fix, tell the generals vote mail gets top priority over ammo.)

1. Why would they withhold valid ballots in the first place
if they favored their candidates?

The only problem I have with it is, what if something major happened to change the way people would vote, but they already have?

3. You might decide to vote for McCain???
There are some people who aren't going to change their vote come hell or high water. I'm one of them. I'm sure there are diehard Republican equivalents. If that's how you feel, vote.

6. McCain is not an option for me.
If something real bad happened I would consider green.

7. Cynthia McKinney?
Come on now, Obama would have to murder somebody for Cynthia McKinney to be a legitimate option for President. And if that were the case, he'd step down and Biden would be the candidate. I think it's fine for the majority of people to vote.

4. I love having it early right now because Obama has been surging in the polls.
Besides neither ticket is going to change. Why so many people think this is beyond me. It only happened once in 1972 and it was only days after the Democratic convention.

5. yep, the way a campaign staffer in FL today was encouraging everyone....
.... to go ahead and vote early ...... I'm guess it's gonna do us more good than bad. He said something along the lines of "are we gonna get out there and make sure our friends are registered!!! are we gonna vote early!!!"
