Dave Letterman will go down in history for this. |
|

Letterman just exposed McLame's phoniness in a way that will be replayed over and over. We'll be watching that years from now in shows about this historic election, and in retrospectives of Letterman's career.
McLame is done. He did it to himself with a phony stunt, and David Letterman called him on it.
Thanks, Dave. A grateful country thanks you.

3. I'm still stunned (and laughing) |

Dave despises Bush but he's tried to be fair in this election. My guess? McCain mouthed off to him on the phone, or snapped at him.

6. The great thing about Dave is that he sincerely admired Gramps. And this is how |
|
the old fart paid him back. Stiffing him for Katie Couric. What an ass hoooole.
Dave even gave Crispin Glover a second chance to un-asshole himself but Mc Cain just earned the permanent Gong.
I love Paul's line, that if Dave did that to him Paul would call a taxi and Dave would be history.
Dave agreed that he would deserve it.

Just one more example of the little lies that McCain/Palin makes about things both big and small. Small lies like Palin's "the teleprompter broke and I had to wing it" and this stunt are sometimes even more damning than the big ones about the war and economy and such. Big lies are harder to prove, and people figure all politicians "shade the truth" somewhat when it comes to those issues. But you catch McCain and Palin pulling stunts like this and its easy to see that they're just serial liars. He didn't have to lie about something like this, nobody in their right mind would because they know they would get caught. At this point folks, they just can't help themselves. In fact, I take it back: this isn't a dumb stunt, it's a CALL FOR HELP.

12. what's so funny about it.... |
|
Is that Gramps went to the CBS News Division to give an interview - did he think that Dave (CBS) wouldn't be able to get the live feed? Or maybe find out that he'd been dumped for Couric?
I mean, how stupid does it get around the McCain campaign? Honestly - this is sheer incompetence on a massive scale.
