You gotta hear my video game story (freeper "debate")

So the game is Battlefield Vietnam. Needless to say, the game takes place in Vietnam. So anyway, I was playing on a server, and my player name was "Bush Didn't Serve Here" because I thought it was funny.

Well, this freeper gets all kinds of pissed off. He's starts going on about how Kerry doesn't have a plan and yada yada yada. So, I'm kinda making smart ass comments and playing at the same time, but this asshole won't let up! So he says, "does Kerry have a plan? Specifics?" I said, "of course he does, what a stupid question." So he tells me "what is it?" Well, shit, I'm in the middle of playing a game, so I say, "look man, we're trying to play here, if you want to know Kerry's plan, go read it on johnkerry.com, but I'm not gonna sit here and type it out 50 characters at a time (you only get 50 or so characters in the little chat thingy.)" So he says "see, once you corner a liberal with facts, they run and hide."

Well, needless to say, that set me the fuck off. So, I asked him what fact he was referring to. None of course. He wanted ME to provide facts, but I wasn't making any accusations. So, he gives me some shit about logic. I said, "you mean logic like linking Al Qaeda and Iraq?" He insisted there was a link because of "that dude with one leg cuttin' off heads in Iraq." I said "that was after the war began, besides is that worth the lives of 980 American soldiers?" Of course he says it was...he's not the one serving.

So, get this shit, then he tells me, "well you'll grow out of it." I said, "well, I'm 30, married, 1 child, 8 years military service and I haven't grown out of it yet." He says "bullshit, you weren't in the military...liberals always lie about military service." That fucking DICK!

So, now I'm sweating and my heart is pounding because I want to kill him in the game and real life, right? Well, in the meantime other people on the server are making cracks at this guy. I'm going insane with fury and tell him, "you accuse me of lying about spending 8 years of my life defending your right to be a mindless fucking bushbot then have the unmitigated gall to tell me how to vote?"

Well, he just completely left the military topic and starts telling me to go look at some website to see Republican Guard murdering people and shit. So I said, "yes, there are bad motherfuckers all over the world, why Iraq? Was it possibly the oil or a family vendetta?" He then said, "was there oil in France? Was there oil in Bosnia?" To which I responded, "Clinton went to Bosnia for legitimate humanitarian reasons, not Bush. We're talking about why Bush doesn't go help Sudan or any other country led by a madman, if he's so noble. And what the fuck do you mean 'was there oil in France?'" Did we invade France?

Thanks for listening, guys. I posted this while I was in a near uncontrollable rage. I'm better now. Ahhh, the power of the pen (keyboard.)

I'm clear most of the week, I have an easy schedule then. Friday nights are out, but the rest are ok.

Everynight overall works for me I just go to school and come home and do homework and hang out on DU. It's basically my last few months that I won't have a job and will have only school to deal with.

I haven't even gotten an assignment yet. I only get four or five per class in a semester, max. Sometimes we don't even have homework, just projects.
But it all takes a couple of weeks to wind up, so I spend this time being a major slacker. Come November, I'm a real freak. 3-4 hours of sleep a night, no social life.

Probably not. I haven't been able to watch him for more than 30 seconds since the 2003 SOTU. Before then I could without exploding, but I just can't make it anymore. I think my system has developed a sensitivity to bullsh*t. I'll probably be fuming with my friends about something then, though. Lots of things to be angry about these days, and very little time to rant about them.

I am the type that actually will tune into RW talk radio and watch Bush speak because I like to know what the opposition is up to, I am a firm believer in knowing the enemy and what he may be up to.

I was browsing the HL2Fallout.com forums, looking for a sign about the status of Half-Life 2, (the Valve team posts there occasionally) and they've got an Election 2004 poll going.
After reading the posts (7 pages of them) my fingers were itching to register there and start smacking freepers. All the old classics were being said: Iraq + Al Quaeda, Saddam gassed his own people, Saddam is responsible for 9/11, Kerry is a flip-flopper who lied about his Purple Heart, France and Germany suck, Bush inherited the crappy economy.
I got rather mad just reading the idiocy. (I guess that's why I never go to FR)

I should just realize that most of these idiots are probably 20 years old or younger, and they'll probably be drafted if Bush is elected again.

Catch, these people you ran into where probably young folks or twentysomethings who haven't their butt kicked in the world yet.

I've run into so many type of fake conservatives its funny.

Young, white CMT Cowboy Republicans and their MTV Spring Break counterparts who are either living on daddy's money or they are working class and bought into the "psst, It's those damn minority folks.

Then there are the middle-age, "I made my pile, so FU" Republicans. These are Dick Cheney's people.

And there the ones who piss me off the most. Those J.C. Watts/Ward Connerly/Vernon Robinson/Alan Keyes Black Republicans who frankly ought to know better.

In our travels, we are going to run into some strong folks, and I'm sure somewhere some body on some blog is ranting about some "thirtysomething, wannabe liberal who has a job and a life and really should be a Republican."
