Backfire: 10 reasons why Letterman video is going to do irrepairable damage to McCain-Palin 08
LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjkCrfylq-E

Letterman basically called McCain flat out in all departments.

1. He's not a hero. (I have not seen anyone make jokes about it. Letterman has opened the gates)
2. Rushing to Washington is a political stunt.
3. Country first or Campaign First? (Poll number reference)
4. John McCain is not the same McCain and he's definitely not a maverick.
5. He's CRAZY! (Metamucil remark)
6. He's not Presidential (Can't handle crisis)
7. Age is an issue.
8. He's a Quitter and running scared.
9. He's not made of steel but rather very weak and desperate.
10. Sarah Palin is ridiculously incapable of dealing with any national crisis even at her best.

Canceling the debate might have been okay but canceling in on Letterman ;) Didn't McCain know road to the white house runs through Letterman :)

Poor McCain he shows up on The View, he gets hammered. He doesn't show up on Letterman, he gets hammered. Now, McCain is confused whether to show up or not show up for the debate on Friday. At present, I think even a picture of Obama will scare him to death.

God Bailout McCain

2. This will be big among the "low info" voters.
Even bigger if this turns into a vendetta and Letterman keeps it up.

6. Remember all the fun Dave had at Oprah's expense a few years back?
He is not one to "let it go".

5. actually, Dave went out of his way last night to repeatedly call McCain a hero
And it seemed very sincere and heartfelt. Which I think makes his comments about McCain's behavior just that much more biting.

9. Letterman made it clear that
McCain made it seem like he was literally on his way to DC...plus, Dave wasn't solely making fun of McCain for cancelling the show...he made fun of the "suspending" of the campaign, and what a farce it was, and also talked about what a joke of a VP Palin is. I loved the repeating of "something doesn't smell right".

10. Right. Letterman is not upset by mcbush cancelling his appearance
as he is about the "suspended" campaign and the fact that palen is not stepping up.

We should all be as insulted as Letterman is about this stunt.
