the fix is in.

The only way McCain can win this thing is to steal it.

McCain is acting like a paranoid, senile, grumpy old man.

2. Five weeks is a long time in politics.
As rove and the slime machine on the right know, they just need to come up with some scam to boost their guy for a day or two at just the right time. People have short memories. I thought Kerry couldn't loose too. Not trying to be a downer, just sayin...it ani't done 'till it's done.

4. I hear ya
And I fluctuate on a daily basis depending on who I talk to. One day, I can knock on houses and think, Obama's got this in the bag. Then I can have a discussion in a waiting room with apathetic, ill-informed voters and think, shit, it's over. And, yes, the machine is working daily to take Obama down. Hannity and Rush are non-stop with their assaults -- desperate really. And who knows what Rove, et al or other powers-that-be have in store. Guess I'm just thinking, after seeing NBC Brian Williams interview McSame, that only the crazies will be voting for that senile, defensive, grumpy old man.

Still, I think Kerry had the (s)election pulled out from under him for many reasons, not just swift boating, although that was a good excuse for it all. Folks are still analyzing the (s)election, and seems, without getting all conspiratorial and all, there are many ways an election can be stolen. Obama, though, likely is aware of this, as keen as he is and all. :hi:

3. my fear is that the fix is in
and it is up to all of us to do whatever we can to not let this happen again.
Go out, volunteer, work at the polls-do whatever you can.
I'm doing my utmost-if there is anything you can do, please do it.

5. Doing it -- that's my solution at this point, too
In fact, I just said at a precinct meeting the other day, as up or down as our moods get, we have to keep walking, knocking and talking - one vote at a time. Let your neighbors know who you are supporting, persuade them if you can. We've got about two weeks left to register voters - that's important now, too. :hi:
