McCain may not know what he is doing or not, but . . . He is controlling the news cycle thru the |
|
weekend and I have a feeling Palin has something up for next week. News days are ticking down.

5. Yes, stories of his lying about suspending his campaign, being ridiculed by his own party |
|
for interfering with bailout negotiations, lying to letterman, and debate cancelling grandstanding are certainly dominating the news cycle.

12. He has no fucking idea what he's doing. |
|
He suspends his campaign except he hasn't. Nobody fucking knows whether Moose Herder is suspending *her* campaign (which is now some kind of magical entity separate from his.) He rocks up to Capitol Hill just as a deal is announced, trashes the deal, then he and Boner come up with a "plan" so patently stupid that even the Republicans won't support it, let alone Paulson or Bernanke or any of the other people in the administration who'd have to give it the green light. And now they have to figure out some way of getting out of this mess HE has created without it becoming a huge embarrassment to the whole party. What a fucking mess.
I'm halfway tempted to say to hell with it. Let them bring their stupid plan to the floor for an up or down vote, let it fail miserably, then get on with business.

14. This (potential) banking collapse is bigger than either candidate... |
|
If McCain kills this deal in congress, 1/3 of the people reading this forum will be unemployed within 6 months.
THIS IS SERIOUS.
He wants the news cycle? He can have it. But if he fucks this deal up, we're all screwed.
No matter who wins on November 4th.
