McCain is screwn either way
He shows up for the debate tomorrow and he looks like a histrionic jackass with egg on his face. If he doesn't show tomorrow, then he looks like a cut and run coward who can't multitask.

Either way, because of his antics up on Capitol Hill and what will likely be a massive stock market failure tomorrow because of his interference, McCain comes off looking like the asshole. The best he can hope for is to not even wake up in the morning, but since evil people live pretty much damn near forever, it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

1. I've been saying this too. He's going down. He's done. Game Over.
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 will go down in history as one of the dumbest political ploys ever.

2. I'm a little worried
Maybe I'm missing something...

I'm worried that while Obama is at the debate (by himself) -- the repugs will rally 'round McCain and come out praising him as having single-handedly brokered the bailout.

Why else is McCain staying in Washington, DC? It seems they're setting Obama up.

Maybe I'm just paranoid from the last 8 years of this crap!

The repugs walked out today...it seems to me they're planning something.

I guess I'm paranoid.

20. I don't remember exactly..
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 11:16 PM by rebel with a cause
But she took mccain down town and taught him a thing or two. She said what I think others should have been saying today in support of the Democratic candidate. I heard someone today say that mccain was doing what he thought was best for his political life and not what was best for his country but I don't remember if that was Boxer, Frank or who. My memory is just not what it use to be.

Barack on MSNBC now from earlier but am going to watch it again.

19. No bailout before Monday
Don't expect any bailout plan to be signed before Monday or anytime next week.

The Repugs have to convince their base and the RW talkers are full blown campaigning against it.

The Dems want big strings attached to it.

And they don't want to make McCain look good for the debate. That would kill us.

9. And jerking the American people back and forth makes him look spastic.
It's very unsettling. Who wants to spend the next 4/8 years on a rollercoaster?

21. I really don't understand the people who think he's on to something here
I mean, I'm as prone to "concern" as the next person, and I've voiced my worries in the past, but I just don't see how McCain gets out of this one either way. He can show up tomorrow, making his statements from yesterday look like a hugh!!11! overreaction, or he can not show up and look weak, misdirected and lazy. Not to mention that he will be giving Obama 90 minutes of free airtime. He's royally screwed himself.
