His attempt to parachute into the bailout talks and take credit for the whole thing failed miserably. In fact, his interference had the effect of screwing things up!
And, oh yes... it turns out that McCain never actually suspended his campaign.
It'll be interesting to see how the right wing spins this one!
The GOP might have to throw McCain under the bus over this.

Except an outside chance the House Rethugs will insist on insanely wreck anything except their tax cut/de-regulation non-sense.
I think they are full on shenanigans mode and will do ANYTHING. The question is how is even remotely possible they can get away with anything, this is broad daylight. McCain is doing jackappleshit or less. At this point, a vote for McCain is utter insanity. I don't think you can make a rational argument based on even just general information. I'd never vote for a Democratic ticket this unhinged. Survival and sanity over party, sorry...I'm a gung-ho Democrat but I've never seen anything like this, if we elect this Republican ticket, even within the margin of thievery then a Depression may be the least of the problem humans will face. We're close now. There are too many people with disinterest to disdain for reason, creativity, a world view, science, intelligence, and respect for our way of life.
