What if a plurality or majority of Americans fail to see what we see? That she is totally unqualified to be vice president...You would get more cogent answers from a second year political science student... Yet John McCain is still doing fairly well in the polls and the media is not publicizing her incompetence... I never , never make the mistake for believing that just because I believe something; a plurality or majority of Americans see it the same way...

2. Yesterday I made a point of talking to some of the people I thought |

probably weren't paying attention and it is frightening. They obviously vote for the most shallow of reasons and Palin's choice of eyewear could be one of them. It boggles the mind how this country has dumbed down.

That's generous.
I agree with your statement though. I remember the parade of fools jaunting to the voting booths late in the day in my FLA precincts in 2004. That gives me pause.

I was against the war in Iraq from the moment shrub started talking about Iraq. I was in a small minority of Americans.
I never thought they would find WMDs in Iraq, even when Powell was doing his UN presentation. I was in a small minority of Americans.
I never thought Iraq was behind 9/11. I was in a small minority of Americans.
And I now find that I support the bailout (as amended by the Dems in congress and supported by Obama). And I think I might well be in a small minority of Americans.

"I was against the war in Iraq from the moment shrub started talking about Iraq. I was in a small minority of Americans."
I nominally opposed it but I knew we would invade from the moment Bush* started talking about it...
"I never thought they would find WMDs in Iraq, even when Powell was doing his UN presentation. I was in a small minority of Americans."
Yeah
"I never thought Iraq was behind 9/11. I was in a small minority of Americans."
That was an incredibly dumb supposition.
"And I now find that I support the bailout (as amended by the Dems in congress and supported by Obama). And I think I might well be in a small minority of Americans."
Something needs to be done...If you owe the bank $10,000.00 you have a problem...If you owe the bank $100,000,000.00 they have a problem...They are too "big to fail"
But I talk to lots of people...I usually don't disclose my point of view...I just encourage them to talk...It's amazing how so many "wrong" views are so closely held...
