I used to have the cynical view that, in this historic election season, with an African-American man and a woman both arm-wrestling to get the Democratic nomination, either one being a benchmark President, that America at the end of the day would vote for the old white guy.
I don't think that anymore, even though I am in a crimson red state, surrounded by McCain bumperstickers and the cult of Ste. Sarah.
I can't prove it, I can't qualify it, I can't even explain it. Bu there's a familiar aroma in the ether, something I haven't smelled since 1992. But a like a family recipe you haven't tasted in years, it brings back sweet memories.
And it smells good
