Nothing Less Than A Knock Out Tonight Can Salvage Admiral McInsane's Sinking Campaign |
|
This is akin to a figher going into the last round of a championship match and far behind on all cards...

2. Obama could be sedated and win this debate tonight. McCain can't win on economy. |
|
Which will be primary discussion.

3. I wish I could agree... but |

The RW shills in the media will basically be proclaiming victory by the mere fact that McCrap is even showing up. I can't remember expectations being lower for a candidate going into something like this, so in one limited respect, it's all upside for McCrap. Let me be clear - Obama will mop the floor with his old ass on every level - meritoriously, intellectually, psychologically, aesthetically - but you know there will be those out there, almost no matter what happens, who will talk about the 'stunningly strong' performance by McCrap absent him literally taking his pants off and swinging them over his head right on stage.
That said - I think McCrap is quite vulnerable to losing his marbles completely and tossing out a term like 'boy' or something equally evil, so that'll be the main reason I'm watching - just waiting for the final implosion to occur. If it doesn't, there'll be many 'news' outlets proclaiming a good showing for McCrap.

12. sure, the low expectations help mccain and the GOP will declare him a winner regardless but... |
|
That still doesn't change the facts.
The media tastes blood right now around the mccain camp. It's not about bias anymore. Even Fox is showing Mccain polling at 39% and taking them to task on lies.
Mccain is almost unavoidably going to spew a ton of lies.
He's going to get in big punches and play all his aces in terms of making Obama seem unqualified and slimy.
It wont play will for undecideds, as the facts come out.
We'll see...

6. He can't pull out a knockout due to his support of the Iraq war.... |
|
When Obama brings that up, McCain will start getting pissed and get all flustered. Should be fun! ; )O

Obama MUST not let him dictate the tone of the debate. The loose style favors the underdog, just as it does in sports.

14. POW and surge will be heard many times tonight. |
|
I will be surprised if anything "big" comes out of this whole thing as the media wants a horse race to the end. No matter how foolish Mac is, he will not be portrayed that way in the media. Yes, it will be a national audience, but will they believe the media explanation or their own lying eyes and ears.

15. I don't think it'll be a game-changer. |
|
Maybe I've been reading too much of Nate at 538 dot com, but history shows that absent some horrible, horrible blunder, debates don't really re-direct things that much. It could be good for a point or two.
I think the impressions have been made, largely, by now. I've always thought McCain's positives had nowhere to go but down once Americans got to really know him (whereas the opposite was true of Obama.)
