118. MY FAVORITE PARTY FOOD! My fav cocktail chicken wings. WONDERFUL
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 07:21 PM by trueblue2007
My FAVORITE COCKTAIL CHICKEN WINGS (good appetizers)

I have been making these for about 20 years!! Every Christmas we have a "Christmas Party" and I make these for my relatives. If I don't.....I hear about it!! Now I'll share this recipe with my friends. They are just wonderful.

MY FAVORITE COCKTAIL CHICKEN WINGS

1 Cup soy sauce ( I use reduced sodium)
1/4 Cup oil
1/4 cup sherry ("Cocktail Sherry)
3 tsp sugar
1 tsp ginger
2 cloves chopped up garlic (1/4 tsp or so)
3 pounds chicken wings - Cut the wing into 2 pieces...the little "drum stick" and the 2nd joint. Discard the tip. Remove some of the fatty skin - It makes the wings less fatty.

Marinade chicken pieces (at least 2-3 hours) or overnight in sauce. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours in 325 degree oven. Turn often to distribute in marinade.

You can increase ginger a little for more kick and putting in a little more sherry is okay too.

Serve with Napkins (you may not need them because you'll lick the sauce off your fingers)

24. Oh, I have one for you, if you like crab...
but it is my recipe, so I will have to just guestimate the contents, since I never follow a recipe;

Hot Crab Dip
1 6 oz. can,(get the good stuff) or 6 oz. cooked crab, shredded
8 oz. cream cheese
1 pkg. sliced almonds
Tabasco-- to taste
1 tsp, Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared horseradish

Blend all but the almonds, and salt & pepper to taste. Put in a heat proof dish, and cover with the almonds. Broil for about 8-10 minutes, with rack in the middle of the oven. Almonds should be lightly roasted, and the dip heated throughly.

Serve with crackers. It is to die for!!

39. My SO thinks I'm such a geek now.....
I told him earlier we have to get snacks and have a drinking game for the debate.

Every time McCain says "my friends," we get to have a shot!

Then again, anything that involves a drinking game makes him happy. ;)

Lucky for me the kiddos love it (three teens and one preteen)

Oddly enough we all are a heck of alot healthier now that most things are simple or from scratch.
