To anybody nervous about Phalin being replaced by Mittens... |
|
Just remember, his team is so incompetent that he LOST to McCain's people. Conversely, Obama was able to overcome the most powerful machine within the Democratic Party to secure the nomination.

1. Also, that would cause such a shit storm with only a month to go that it would |
|
doom McCain to a 20-point loss.

I don't think he would want It.He wants to run In 2012.He may go out and talk up Mccain but doesn't want to be part of a losing ticket.

3. He would lose his base if he did that |
|
Palin excited the religious right - who will not be excited and most likely not vote for a Mormon. It would be disastrous to change VP candidates for McCain - does not matter who he choses to replace Palin it would be a losing proposition.

4. Romney would be a fool to take it at this point |
|
McCain's only choice if he gets Palin to drop out would be Lieberman.

5. McCain is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't at this point. |
|
He looks foolish and stupid no matter what he does. So, no, I'm not nervous about it if he does kick Palin to the curb and goes with Mittens.

6. Admitting you were wrong about your VP choice |
|
is a recipe for instant campaign FAIL.
They can't replace her, and if they did they would lose even worse than they seem to be right now.

7. McCain can't drop Palin for two reasons: |
|
1. He will look like he is throwing her under the bus; and questions of why he took her in the first place.
2. THE ENTIRE BASE WOULD ERODE; WOMEN WOULD FLEE!!! Romney would make it happen faster.

9. Romney wouldn't accept. |
|
It would be political suicide if he plans to run in 2012. Nobody wants to be associated with a losing ticket.
The only one dumb enough to accept if offered is Lieberman.
If that even happened. I don't think they will dump Palin.

10. Ridge is the only possible replacement who might be a threat |
|
And only because of Pennsylvania. And even then, McCain's campaign would be so damaged by that point that Obama should be able to win without Pennsylvania.
