Do you think that McCain is going for the pity vote?? |
|
There is this thing in horse showing where you will see this kid in rubber boots riding a really nappy horse with crappy ill fitting tack and doing a pretty sucky job, but they keep getting ribbons. Especially if it is obvious that the kid is trying, but is just clueless. Or if they are a little kid out of their league. We call it a 'pity tie'.
After all the truly STUPID shit McCain has done in the past month, it makes me wonder if he is going for a pity tie on purpose.

|
actually, I cannot hate him like I've hated the Bushes, but I certainly could never like him.

My uber Republican boss is extremely intelligent and is horribly embarrassed by Bush and his stupidity. When we discuss McCain, the boss always ends up talking about McCain's war wounds, etc. I'm sure he is sympathetic. I've not heard any good arguments from him as to why he thinks McCain is the better choice. Although I do know he doesn't care for Palin at all:) I'm sure he sees the writing on the wall. I keep telling him he needs to help take back his party from the neo-cons, and he agrees. He's more of a Goldwater Republican, methinks. So was my dad... was being the operative word. Pops registered as a Democrat for the first time in his life so he could vote for a Democrat in the primary! I don't know who he voted for and I don't care:) I know he's voting for Obama in November. I hope there are a lot more like him that are just too embarrassed to admit they are doing the right thing. Hahaha! That sounds funny, but it's true!
