He was seriously breaking apart at the edges as he spoke. At the end, he mentioned having "read a book" about the Democratic Party abandoning its conservative members (he was talking about his own book) and all the commentators just sat there dumbfounded by his implosion. No one even spoke in response. A few dead seconds and they mercifully went to commercial.
This guy used to be sane. Sometimes good, sometimes even courageous (on the confederate flag), but most of all sane. No longer.
