Anyone here listen to the debate on the radio (as opposed to watching it on TV)? |
|
I read once where most people who watched the first JFK/Nixon debate thought JFK was the winner, but those who listened to it on the radio though Nixon did a better job. I'm curious to hear opinions on how people perceived tonight's debate according to which format they heard/saw it.

1. The Nixon won on the radio theme is crap invented years after the 1960 debate. |

and thought McCain was arrogant, and contemptuous of Obama, who did not deserve that. He would not even look at him. It was very obvious, and I believe it bordered on saying, 'I do not have to acknowledge this uppity negro.' It was repulsive, and I'm still pissed.

3. I closed my eyes and listened because the visuals of McCain were hostility/edginess |
|
And it was in his voice too.

I had the c-span video feed up but I spent a great deal of time reading DU while the debate went on. In other words, I listed to about half the debate and saw half. I would say that McSame's contemptuous, snide demeanor came through on both counts.
