Sounds like old Pat Buchanan is changing his tune... giving some props to Obama. |
|
You know if Buchanan says Obama did well, it's over for McLame.

2. Actually, Pat said that from the beginning, he just says he thought McCain won overall. |
|
His boxing analogy was 10 rounds to McCain and 5 to Obama.

4. He definitely complimented Obama's performance. |
|
His main complaint seems to be that Obama missed responding to some easy set ups that McCain served up to him.
Pat just said on KO's show that Obama did very good job standing toe to toe with McCain and making his point that he can handle foreign policy. He just feels that McCain won on points..see above.

3. Surely Obama converted some thinking Republicans |

tonight.
Obama addressed a foreign policy 'elephant in the room' re: China's colonial/imperial movements around the globe and ticked them off - Latin America, Africa, Asia, etc. China holding $1 trillion of our debt, launching yet another rocket and space walk, etc.
Obama seemed to present a more comprehensive grasp of the varied challenges to liberal democracies in this century than McCain and Obama properly defined it as a 'narrow focus on Iraq.'
If foreign policy was McCain's strong suit, Obama wiped him out tonight. Unless one has a fanatical commitment to the invasion and perpetual occupation of Iraq and I'm sure there are those folks out there, Obama was and is the better man to have leading this nation.
