Pat Buchanan blasts neocoms on Imus
Promoting his new book, "Where the Right went Wrong", Buchanan says that Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld hijacked the Bush presidency, misleading him into invading Iraq. Buchanan says it was a huge mistake, and that Bush now ought to consult with his father before he takes any action! He says that Bush will not dump the neocons until after the election. If he manages to get re-elected(?) then they will leave.

4. Did anyone elso notice how there were no Neocons in prime time
Rove must not trust them anymore than he trusts the religious right. Although I wonder if Bush dumps the Neocons how the fundies will respond.

ANother thing: I wonder if it is safe for Kerry to go after the NeoCons. He might say something like Pat Buchanan and I do not agree on much, but..... some of these guys in the Pentagon ...well actually....I should not comment on an ongoing investigation...lets just say....that the these guys are seriously in to nation building,"

2. He's crazy if he thinks they will give up power on their own!
Why would they leave if Bush wins? They live for power.

8. Generally, you only get prosecuted if you give up the power!
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 07:12 AM by Democat
In most cases, as long as you have the power, you can't be touched.

Look at the entire Bush family - no one goes down because they use their power to protect their own, no matter what the crime.

There is no way these guys are going to give up their power on their own. That's crazy.

5. They won't leave - they have been infiltrating
the GOP for years. Remember the Christian Coalition, Ralph Reed, Newt Gingrich. They crawl out of the woodwork.

10. Like McCain supports Bush...
Strange interview with McCain on NPR the other morning, before his speech. Talked about Iraq, said many things were done wrong; poor planning, not enough troops, ect. Blamed the abuses that have come to light on that. If you listened to what he said, you would assume he opposed Bush.
