How many times did McCain blink during the debate? |
|
I've been reviewing video of the debate. Once I noticed, I could hardly watch. When Obama nails him and he gets angry, his eylids flutter like shutters in old movie cameras. If you tried, I'm not sure you could keep count with a clicker, they just come way too fast.
It would be great to make a video with a grid of just his eyes from different parts of the debate just fluttering away. He ought to paint flags on his eyelids -- then he'd look patriotic instead of just being an angry old man.
McCain looks extremely uncomfortable, obviously angry when he gets caught in lies and uncomfortable truths.
If you just listen to the audio, McCain doesn't sound terrible. But when you watch him, he looks bad.

if you played a drinking game where you had to take a sip every time he blinked, you'd be dead.

5. That used to be how political debates were judged |
|
The person who blinks the most was the loser. I was Googling for some historic perspective on this but there are too many links about McCain's figurative "blinking" in agreeing to show up at the debate. He's got blinking covered both literally and figuratively.

12. I thought it had something to do with telling the truth. |
|
Like, if you blinked a lot, you weren't.

I'm sure if he's ever asked about it, it has something to do with his years as a POW>

9. McCain blinks as much as Bob Dole did. |
|
What is up with all that blinking? I actually tried blinking along with Bob Dole during his failed attempt to trick America into four more years of the first Bush and I wound up with a migraine headache!
NO ONE BLINKS THAT MUCH! (Other than McCain and Dole)
Try blinking along with McCain next debate and see for yourself. But I must warn you, you do so at your own risk. Here, I'll show you why.

SEE?! Now I have another McCain/Dole blinking headache.
