It's over. Obama's got it in the bag. |

First of all, I can't believe the press is trying to insist that McCain won. Whenever McCain made a point/counterpoint, he seemed to be rehashing the old, tired, Republican "tax and spend liberal" shit that just can't fly in the face of what McCain's party had done over the last 8 years. Obama deftly handled his assaults, and cooly parried him on foreign affairs. McCain was insistent on talking over Obama and not letting him make a point when McCain was lying or distorting his record. Obama calmy smiled, let it go, and got to McCain when he quit running his grocery hole. McCain seemed very dismissive of Obama all night long, and that didn't play well, either.
Obama came across as the adult, and McCain came across as the desperate candidate trying to do anything he can to prop up his floundering campaign...which I bet starts sinking faster than the Titanic after the Palin-Biden debate.
I mean, if Katie Couric can kick your ass on a softball interview, imagine what a rested and prepared Joe Biden will do.
I almost feel sorry for her.

1. The wildcard is the bailout of wallstreet - that could screw Obama |

If Democrats get tricked by Bush and McCain into giving away a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, just before the election, that could sink Obama.
Democrats have been very stupid before, let's hope they don't give the election away just as we seem to be taking the lead.

There's so much blame to go around on that whole deal, I don't think there's any way McCain can come out from that without getting damaged, either. I think the fallout from that will be a wash at best.
