Looking ahead to Thursday: Remember that Palin is a great debater |
|
This woman is a deft politician who is a master of put-downs. She will match Biden, cockshit for wit -- and it's quite possible that the American people won't know the difference.
Do not follow the media in its effor to lower expectations. We have to expose her ignorance in the same way you expose a bully. Biden needs to remember that this is a playground fight, not a presidential debate.
Let Palin throw out the first verbal jabs, allow her to gain confidence and get cocky. Then kick her ass -- Biden needs to look like even-tempered nerd guy who finally punches back. A verbal rope-a-dope of sorts.

4. Especially since she'll be allowed to play by "Palin Special Rules" which |
|
the McCain campaign put in place to protect her and give her less opportunity to show and exhibit how truly unqualified and unprepared she is for the position of VP.
:grrr:
Granted, she may be a great debater, but after seeing her on her recent interviews, and realizing her responses are only talking points -- no substance or indication of an understanding of the the topic being discussed, I'm not worried. She can answer the question with her pat little answer, then Joe can answer it with a depth and breadth of understanding and command that will totally overshadow whatever snappy little remark she makes.
We shouldn't underestimated her, granted, but I'm much more relaxed now that I've seen her in action.
Bring it on!

8. She's now a deer in the headlights. She is toast; maybe off the ticket. |
|
I can't see the debate taking place, after the Couric debacle. For the first time in her life, she has been fed facts, and she doesn't know what to do with them.

10. Gibson, Couric -- all designed to lower expectations |
|
I'm not falling for it.
I have no argument against her lack of intelligence. I think she is dumb as a bag of rocks.
However, if we make believe she is a bag of rocks, and she does nothing more than just show up and smile, the pundits will thing she "exceeded expectations" and won.

11. Her confidence is shattered. McCain camp has hurt her too bad all ready. |

She has had horrible reviews on her interview. And from her answers to Couric you can tell she has been reading them. She looked nervous with hardly any confidence. Something that Joe does not have. That is very important in debates. Mac and team should give her more freedom to answer questions. Them not doing that has made her question herself I imagine.

16. Unfortunately, the format benefits her |
|
Remember, part of the reason she stumbled so badly in the ABC and CBS interviews is because she couldn't spend 60 second re-reading her notecards after being asked the questions. But, in the debate, anytime Biden goes first, she'll be able to spend his 60-sec reviewing her lines. So, whenever he goes first, she'll sound half-way intelligent...and, unfortunately, based on that half-way decent performance, the MSM will say she "held her own against a very experienced debater"...
