From First Read:

That is CORRECT. As chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on European Affairs, Obama has never held a hearing on Afghanistan. But the Senate Foreign Relations Committee -- currently chaired by Joe Biden -- has addressed Afghanistan at the FULL COMMITTEE level. Indeed, in the past couple of years, the full committee has held three hearings on Afghanistan. And Obama has attended ONE of them.

Meanwhile, the Senate Armed Services Committee -- of which McCain serves as ranking member -- has held at least seven hearings on Afghanistan in the last two years. And McCain DID NOT attend a single one of them, according to NBC News.

Hello? Axelrod? Plouffe? Anybody reading DU or First Read tonite?

1. I'll give ya a kick - I saw that last night - can't believe McCain is going with
stuff that the media already debunked. I guess it works on the low info voters who don't think for themselves, but it may not work on independents who are still making up their minds.

2. I missed this last nite.
It's too funny. Here's to hoping Obama uses it as a comeback next time McCain goes after him.

4. When I heard that, my mind went straight to, "Why would he, his Veep candidate's
been there, done that, been effective, and probably has a tee shirt to prove it?!"

Obama knows how to use all his resources effectively and Joe Biden is one of his most impressive and effective resources.
