CNN ticker: McCain retracts Palin's Pakistan comments
WASHINGTON (CNN)— Sen. John McCain retracted Sarah Palin's stance on Pakistan Sunday morning, after the Alaska governor appeared to back Sen. Barack Obama's support for unilateral strikes inside Pakistan against terrorists.

20. OMG.. just look at his whole quote:
"In all due respect, people going around and… sticking a microphone while conversations are being held, and then all of a sudden that's—that's a person's position… This is a free country, but I don't think most Americans think that that's a definitve policy statement made by Governor Palin."

?????? WTF !! LOL !

23. No - THIS is important!
It shows a man with all sorts of dialogues, notions, and beliefs running around inside his head. It shows a man who is at best duplicitous and at worst psychotic. It shows a man who believes you can hold several "positions" on any given topic depending on who you are talking to. It certainly does NOT show a man who knows anyhting about running a government in an honest and transparent way.

13. I think this was done because of the interview bet/ the Prez of Pakistan & Blitzer today.
Basically the Prez of Pakistan ONLY acknowledged Obama's statement and put in a clarifying note and sort of protected Obama.

Blitzer had asked what he would say in repsonse to Obama saying he'd go after Al-Qaeda if the Pakistani government couldn't or wouldn't go in. The Prez said, Senator Obama said "IF", but we are on board in getting rid of Al-Qaeda. Later in the interview you find out his wife was killed by these people so he has a personal investment in getting to them.

In regards to Palin, who said something totally unilateral and didn't put in any provision or clause, just a we'll go in. The President comopletely snubbed it. He didn't even address her statement as worth consideration.
