Krugman: The World According to TARP

The world according to TARP

I don’t, in the end, have much more to say about the plan. It passes my test of no equity, no deal; that, plus the danger of financial panic if it doesn’t go through, makes it worth passing, though celebration is not in order.

I am surprised that they stayed with Troubled Asset Relief Program; isn’t everything these days supposed to be MPAPRA (the motherhood, patriotism, and apple pie reconciliation act) or something like that? Anyway, you know what comes next: an avalanche of TARP jokes. Say, throwing money into a TARP-pit.

Overall, Dodd and Frank succeeded in pushing Paulson a fairly long way back; probably as good a deal as they could have gotten. But someday we’ll have an administration that actually proposes good policies to start with.

1. Bullshit! Krugman trashed his integrity over and over again by lying and shilling
during the Primary for HRC. F**k Krugman's advice. :(

the highest bidder. :(

9. He didn't lie and he's the best we've got on the economy.

4. He is first and foremost an economist, no matter how you feel about his support for HRC.
He is usually spot on when it comes to economic matters.

12. I never supported HRC, but I respect Krugman.
Have you read any of his books or papers on economics? Have you read his blog? It seems that you can't separate the man from his political views, which is a shame.

Naysayers take note.
