Do you think Biden should be as quiet as possible during the debate? |
|
I wonder about his strategy. I think everybody knows Biden is knowledgable about policy, specifically foreign affairs. It seems like if he just sits back and let's Palin talk as much as possible she'll hang herself.
By all means he needs to make his points etc, but I don't think he needs to do much other than let her talk and do damage to herself and McCain. Now if she happens to be performing better than expected or she's attacking the whole time he has to do his thing, but right now it looks like she's not competent enough to pose much of of challenge in the first place.

but he should try to be as positive as possible I'd think. There's no reason to lower the bar of the debates for Palin. I'd rather see him take the opportunity to raise the bar and show the kind of leadership and judgment a VP candidate should have. Besides, there is no better way to show the stark comparison in competence than by speaking up when you are allotted time and showing how competent you are.

5. On point. Informative. But brief. |
|
And be wary of Palin deflecting questions in his direction.

Gandhi appeared in public, and rather than speaking, sat silently. Yoko Ono did something similar in NYC, before meeting John Lennon.
I think it was a wonderful statement by Gandhi, and an artful presentation by Yoko.
However, I do not think it would be a good thing for Joseph Biden to do.

8. I don't mean to totally be quiet |

But to hold off on say, acting like McCain did with his "he doesn't understand" attitude. I don't think Biden needs to go in depth so much, more that he can let Palin talk herself into trouble.
