Just kidding. This just ensured the whole mess will continue to be in the headlines, and with the economy on everyone's minds, Obama wins on November 4th.
Besides, McCain suspended his whole campaign to 'get both sides to work together', and he was taking credit for it as early as this morning. This just shows how much of a joke he is.

2. McCain was supposed to be the white knight riding in to pass a bill |
|
Obama played it cooler.
By that measure McCain ends up the loser.

that earlier today, he took credit for the bill passing, before the vote had occurred.

he is thrashing around, beating his chest before the vote...taking credit for it, then when it fails, it is all the Dems Fault; if you can't read him as unstable after this one, I don't know what it will take. Besides, he and his buds are behind the deregulation that began the whole fucking mess.

The guy that acted like he road in out of the sky on a White Horse to save the economy at the end of last week. The big bad Messiah that, in my city today, went out and acted like he turned piss into wine by single handedly inspiring congress, in a bipartisan move of historical proportions, to pass a bail out bill that would stop all the bleeding in our economy. You know, THAT guy.
Christ, and people accuse Barack Obama of having some sort of Jesus complex....

7. McCain of course if what the pundits say is true, that the bailout was |
|
supposed to help his candidacy up to the election. Now if everything comes crashing down on BushCo's watch, it's good for the Democrats and the change they promise.

Obama did no "I'll rescue the economy" stunt and did not take credit for the plan before the failing vote - unlike McStunt. Furthermore, it was mainly the GOP who voted against the plan - after McCain took credit for it. It looks like McCain can not control his own party, not exactly the best leadership for this country.

Look, he stuck his face into this in a way Obama did not, and claimed leadership over something that failed. Furthermore, tomorrow people in this country will be fucking screaming for Congress to do something.

10. McCain. Repub Congress made him look more foolish |
|
And they can beat their chests and blame Obama all they want, but it's pretty much out there that the House Dems delivered the votes they agreed to deliver and it was the House Repubs who reneged on the promise AFTER McCain tried taking credit for helping it to pass.
Schadenfreude!

11. McSpain is a huge loser in this. |
|
He "un-suspended his campaign" because he was confident that the bill was good and going to get passed over the weekend. Now things are in turmoil and the financial crisis is even worse. He's certainly not going to suspend his campaign again, and by not doing so it just reinforces the idea that it was a huge gimmick the first time.
In addition, the longer the financial crises goes on, the worse it will be for McSpain anyway. First, simply for being a member of George Bush's party, and second because the economy is his weak point.
This doesn't do much to affect Obama directly. He didn't really take a big stand on this, either way.
But, its a HUGE negative for McSpain.

It ought to be McCain, but one cannot at all be certain. If you listen to people calling radio- and TV-stations they seem not to understand that a crisis on Wall Street will spread like fire to the rest of the economy. Thus it's important to prevent the fire from spreading before it's gone too far. There is definitely a risk that Average Joe will side with those market-liberals who want the banks to self-die without any government intervention at all. Obama is walking a thin line. The republicans are making fun of him for not openly supporting the bailout plan. They know that many liberals dislike the plan.

14. The Republicans have been working really hard since Reagan at deregulating |
|
And here's the result. If we don't make this clear by reminding everyone of this (by we, I mean DEMOCRATS), then we are stupid.

Why would anyone have faith in any of them when they completely fail us in the biggest financial crisis of our lifetimes is what many will say. I am having a hard time not saying it myself.
