Wow anyone hear Fareed Zakaria on with Wolf? He absolutely destroyed Palin |
|
Wow just wow. He said the problem isn't so much her answers. Its the very fact she doesn't understand the questions? Of course Wolf tried to shill for her. Saying she has executive experience Biden and Obama don't have. Fareed Zakaria wasn't having it. He said Alaska is a different kind of state. 85% of the revenue is from Oil. Just digging holes. She just distributes out oil revenue. He said that qualifies her to work in Saudi Arabia not be VP of US. Just a punishing smackdown.

1. Good. Any MSM apologist for an unqualified candidate needs a hard smackdown |
|
In the midst of all this mess.
Zakaria is saying exactly what I've been thinking, and it's the same reason that even an earpiece wouldn't help her at the debate: The reason she can't answer a question even with talking points and index cards is because she doesn't really understand what she's supposed to be talking about.
Unless you are going to stream her answer word-for-word through an earpiece, it won't help. You can say "now talk about the bailout being a good idea because it will create jobs", but she still needs to articulate that thought by knowing what she wants to say about it.
It's one thing to know the capital of a country or the name of its president or prime minister, but it's another to try to describe your vision for building good relations. The only reason she didn't fall flat on her face at the RNC was because the speech was teleprompted - she simply had to read it. When she only has a few buzzwords to work with, she doesn't know how to form coherent ideas around them.

2. Yes, and he should have destroyed Wolff too |

for repeating the Palin talking points like some idiot cable news robot... I guess his job is not to acknowledge the absolute danger that a Palin presidency would be...

Zakaria is a bright guy who's capable of objective analysis. The Newsweek article is excellent: http://www.newsweek.com/id/161204

And Zakaria is not dummy..by any stretch of the imagination. He received a B.A. from Yale and a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard.

5. He's right on the target, and Wolf ought to be ashamed |
|
I really hope Wolf's obvious, reckless pandering costs him his job. But somehow I don't think anyone that should care, does.

Zakaria is sharp as a tack.
This is not the first time he's blasted her. His comment on her Couric interview? "gibberish"

10. He's one of the few journalists that I think has something valid to say |
|
He also is a proponent of a post-America world with multiple centers of power and regional powers rather than superpowers with global reach, which seems even more possible now with this financial mess.
