Palin "Dinosaurs And People Coexisted"

The LA Times reports:

Soon after Sarah Palin was elected mayor of the foothill town of Wasilla, Alaska, she startled a local music teacher by insisting in casual conversation that men and dinosaurs coexisted on an Earth created 6,000 years ago -- about 65 million years after scientists say most dinosaurs became extinct -- the teacher said.

After conducting a college band and watching Palin deliver a commencement address to a small group of home-schooled students in June 1997, Wasilla resident Philip Munger said, he asked the young mayor about her religious beliefs.

Palin told him that "dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time," Munger said. When he asked her about prehistoric fossils and tracks dating back millions of years, Palin said "she had seen pictures of human footprints inside the tracks," recalled Munger, who teaches music at the University of Alaska in Anchorage and has regularly criticized Palin in recent years on his liberal political blog, called Progressive Alaska.

The idea of a "young Earth" -- that God created the Earth about 6,000 years ago, and dinosaurs and humans coexisted early on -- is a popular strain of creationism.

Though in her race for governor she called for faith-based "intelligent design" to be taught along with evolution in Alaska's schools, Gov. Palin has not sought to require it, state educators say.

1. she oughtta know; she's a dinosaur herself.
A lumbering, small brained Brontosaurus, if I'm not mistaken.

2. Creationists scare the motherf*cking sh*t out of me.
Logic is useless in the face of illogic....

2 + 2 = 5?
Water isn't wet?

All of the systems that we benefit from and predicate our lives upon, rejected by one "I believe."

7. Alvis Delk Cretaceous Footprint
The "Creation Evidence Museum" has it.

Here it is if you want to see it:

Yes, it is bad and it makes paleonthologists laugh out loud.

It has been discarded as an obvious fake.

Someone needs to make one with a dinosaur footprint, along with a computer keyboard print, to prove that they also had computers back then.

4. You do know that humans and dinosaurs do coexist, right?
What else are those things that fly and have feathers?

10. Yup. Technically the crazy creationists are right on that point.
But not in the way they think, or could even understand.

5. OMG is this drawing real or a spoof?
Either way it's funny as hell.

Those who believe in dragons insist they were dinosaurs that were still alive not too long ago and coexisted among us, but not necessarily 6000 years, even tens of thousands of years ago would be sufficient for their memory to linger in manking's conscience, hence the fact that dragons exist in all the civilizations around the world.

Now, that's only a theory and no, I am not a creationist.

9. The same could be accomplished by people finding fossils
or by seeing alligators.

This is scary but hardly suprising... she's clearly an idiot and we know she belongs to a freaky tongue speaking church.

8. I wonder if she takes the story of Noah's Ark literally
It might be amusing to hear what she has to say about it, with millions of insect species on that boat and all.
