Dow Futures are UP 161 tomorrow
Looks like some of the loss might come back tomorrow...at least at the start of business.

I think the markets are still holding their breath, expecting congress to come through before the end of the week.... so I think the market will hang around 10000 to 10500 until and unless the deal is dead completely (then there'll be a 1000 point drop) or passed (then there'll be a 750-1000 point gain).

Barring anything major, I think we'll trudge through tomorrow with investors hanging back. Low volume.

1. The only reason for that is tomorrow is September 30th.
And you all know what that means.

2. They're waiting the for the Bush speech at 7:45 am EST.

He may announce an executive order granting the powers sought by the treasury (my personal guess; can't think of any other reason for him to want to get on TV before the markets open).

3. the stocks won't stay down. Smart investors know that the gov't will come with a bailout
eventually and stocks are valued in the long-term and long term valuations have not changed. The markets will probably be up 3-4% tomorrow.
