Freepers have given up hope
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2093827/posts

McCain is now Bush.

Obama is now going to become the leader on this issue in the eyes of the American people. Obama is for the American people, and McCain is Bush.

Congratulations President Obama.

5. Far be it for me to correct someone with conservative values
(a growth industry in itself) but McCain is not NOW BUSH. He has been bush for at least the last eight years. And thanks to our fellow americans on free republic and their support of such fucking monsters we are in the fiduciary situation we are in. But don't hold your breath waiting for an apology

And its really gonna suck when another tax and spend liberal rides in on his horse and rescues the country again from fiscal conservatives. Did I say AGAIN?

21. Ha Ha...oh my goodness..they are entertaining...
McCain is deluded. It’s becoming painfully obvious:

He actually believes HE is the reason for his convention bounce.

Is his wife becoming jealous of Palin’s star power, and somehow influencing him? What is it?

He’s really blowing this. Something has gone terribly, terribly wrong in Team McCain.

If he doesn’t deploy the Palin weapon, soon, he’s toast.

It’s that simple.

Ximinez (with a cruel leer): Now -- you will stay in the Comfy Chair until lunch time, with only a cup of coffee at eleven. (aside, to Biggles) Is that really all it is?

Biggles: Yes, lord.

Ximinez: I see. I suppose we make it worse by shouting a lot, do we? Confess, woman. Confess! Confess! Confess! Confess

Biggles: I confess!

Edited on Tue Sep-30-08 12:14 PM by Captiosus
Hugh Hefner wants Palin to pose for Playboy.
Would that be a Palin Weapon? Or a Palin bio-terrorism attack?

Hefner tells OK! magazine, "Palin would make a great centerfold. I don't know what it is, but there's something about a really sexy-looking woman wearing glasses. Imagine what she's like when those glasses come off. It would be a new definition of the word vice in vice president."

I'm starting to think that the freepers are waking up from a long sleep.

They are seeing what we see:
"Is anyone getting the idea yet that McCain is wearing down and as the campaign drags on, seems to just want it to get over with? I don’t see that with him all the time, but it does seem to surface occasionally, especially lately."

If the White Sox get a 1-0 lead on the Twins tonight in the 2nd inning Im not ordering my playoff tickets...too bad some in here would.

This thing is NOT OVER, NO WAY NO HOW. Were you people around in 2000 and 2004? Yes, I know the nation is royally fucked up now and the public is laying most of that at Repukes feet, but I never EVER count elections against the royal fascists.

Listen troll, if that's indeed what you are: You can work yourself into a dither if you want. But you can take this to the bank: You will never persuade Freepers that we've lost until about a month after the game is over.

47. La la la la la, actual Freeper comments on that thread
"how is this a troll? The OP is correct. I saw McCain on Fox this morning also and I think he was terrible. He's absolutely throwing this away. Obama doesn't have to do anything. With McCain failing the way he is, Obama can just sit back and win by default. I'm dismayed beyond words at the prospect of four years of Obama, but it's looking inevitable now. McCain has absolutely blown the opportunity given to him by Congressional conservatives and the American people themselves who were monolithically opposed to this bailout. Apparently, the Maverick who said "no more bailouts" and promised to "name names and make them famous", is a myth."

"Yes, nothing gets better until a bill is passed and the Palin Debate. The polls will be tough this week."

"McCain is a big government guy who has always reserved his venom for conservatives not the Bolshicrats who he crawls across the aisle to stroke whenever he can. My polling place is only two blocks away. McCain should thank his lucky stars it isn’t three blocks."

"McCain said "We will pass legislation because we have to pass legislation." What in hell does that mean? It means he cannot articulate a coherent message on what kind of legislation and how to craft it. He is listening to that staunch conservative, now retired, Senator Danforth......half-baked, nice person, gets along well with Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid,...kumabya....If this keeps up, it won't even be close."

"If he doesn’t deploy the Palin weapon, soon, he’s toast."
"Isn't Palin in RINO REHAB out in Sedona this week? You know, go in as a conservative, come out as a RINO"

"If McCain tries to put a muzzle on Palin against Biden I think it will be all over except the internment of his candidacy." :spray:
