RNC released attack ad on Democrats for supporting plan before it failed |
|
Showing pretty clearly the Republicans are happy to let the American economy burn to make some political hay (not unlike many on the left who have no clue about how economics works) http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/RNC_ad_was_cut_sent_out_before_package_failed.html?showall

3. This Also Shows That The GOP Was Planning On Double Crossing Pelosi |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 01:07 AM by Median Democrat
The House GOP Boehner's attacks on Pelosi's speech was just designed to cover up the failure of the GOP to deliver its promised votes. The plan was to come up short, and force Pelosi to scramble for Democratic votes. However, Pelosi did not or could not come up with additional Democratic votes, thus the bill failed.
The RNC ad was in the works, because the RNC had anticipated that Democrats would get the bill passed, then they could run a campaign against the bailout. However, the bill did not pass, which just proved that they are lying sacks of shit. On the one hand, most most mainstream economists say that the bill is necessary, but the GOP is more than willing to let the Democrats take the fall, and fuck the country if it goes into recession.
