Prediction: If Palin so much as strings a sentence together, the media will call it a comeback |

and praise her debate appearance as a game-changer

3. Yes, but she'll have to be stellar.. |
|
to really overcome that slow moving train wreck of an interview with Couric.
The video isn't going to go away.

4. Despite the fact that that's what everybody is saying, I don't think it'll play like that.... |
|
I think the "Palin's a fucking idiot"-thing is too deeply entrenched at this point.
When she successfully and laboriously spits out her one coherent sentence, I predict the reviews will be something like: "Well, she wasn't quite as stupid as she has been for the last month, which is the good news. The bad news is that it's sort of like scoring a field goal when you're down 4 touchdowns late in the 4th quarter."

6. The Corrupt networks will keep it close...they need to sell Viagra for 5 more weeks... |
|
Therefore, as long as she doesn't walk out, shit on the stage and take her place at the podium without wiping her ass, she will be declared the winner and a 15% bounce will follow.

7. Agreed - I don't wanna hear a single person complaining Thursday night about it |
|
Since we know it's gonna happen, let's just roll with the punches this time.

8. Let me be the contrarian here... |
|
and say, I actually don't think so. The conservatives are beginning to turn on her, never mind the MSM. Call me optimistic, but I really think the worm has turned for this gal. I really don't think she'll be given a pass unless Joe does something really egregious.

9. She's going to resort to snark |
|
and that's not going to play well. What she'll have rehearsed is a bunch of loose, completely bullshit answers that state nothing and a handful of zingers. I'll be interested to see the makeup of the crowd, as I'm wondering if there will be a mixture of laughs and whistles/hisses or just the whistles/hisses.
I think at least one of her zingers will be so ill-formed and ill-timed that it'll stick to her like glue and be replayed a billion times in the days that follow. She's too damn stupid at the most basic level not to screw the pooch at least once.

10. NBC painted the debate as a contest between two gaffe ridden VPs to make the fewest gaffes |
|
I do agree with you that as long as Palin doesn't destroy herself with gaffes she wins in the media's eyes.
But it worth mentioning that I saw a story on NBC nightly news today painting the VP debate as a contest between two gaffe ridden VPs (though they focused a lot more of Palin's gaffes) and concluding at the end that it's a contest to not make gaffes given how many Biden and Palin have made already (well Biden throughout his career anyway, his latest gaffes receive almost no attention).
On the bright side though, despite the gaffes Biden is almost universally viewed as qualified to be commander in chief if something were to happen to Obama, while for Palin she's more likely to become president from something happening to McCain, and she's much less viewed as qualified to be president.
