How exactly does one protest in person?

How exactly does one protest in person?
Hm. Sarah Palin is appearing in Carson, CA, a scant 45 min drive away on Saturday at 2.

How does one go about protesting? I want to make a sign, drive the drive and protest her existence, but I just have never done this.

Is there a primer somewhere? Are there rules or do you just go with a sign and stand on the sidewalk?

Help appreciated--links will be followed.

That's what you do...and sometimes others join you...

Go to the DNC's Carson, CA web page and see if there is anything organized, or even go to the CA forum here and see if there is anyone that wants to do it with you...it's a Sat. so there may already be something organized...
