Election 2008 Massacre: John Kerry Donates 1 Million to DSCC

http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docID=news-000002967514

Sen. John Kerry is putting up $1 million to help the Democratic Party win control of at least 60 Senate seats this fall.

The Massachusetts Democrat, who was the party’s 2004 presidential nominee, announced the donation to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee late Monday afternoon via an e-mail to supporters. Citing the current economic crisis as motivation for the contribution, which will come from his own Senate campaign committee, he said the Democrats would need a 60-vote majority to make a difference.

“We need the strongest Democratic majority possible to get the change we need in Washington. We need to make sure a handful of Republican senators can’t block President Obama as he tries to get our country back on track,” Kerry wrote.

He urged his supporters to follow his lead and chip in by giving directly to a roster of Senate Democratic candidates, including Al Franken in Minnesota, Kay Hagan in North Carolina, Tom Allen in Maine, and Mark Udall in Colorado.

The Democrats are going to take control of the House, Senate, and the Executive Branch, with filibuster proof majorities. We should thank George Bush for being such a disaster, that he made this upcoming landslide more possible, and John McCain as well for picking Sarah Palin, almost guaranteeing Obama wins the election.

2. I can tell you that Al Franken has been getting hammered with the sleaziest
ad campaign of personal attacks, that rivals the attacks against Wellstone. It's unbelievable. Oh that's right, both Wellstone and Franken were up against the putrid bottom dweller, Coleman. :puke:

Thank you John Kerry. K&R

I'm sure he's tired of clearing some much brush these past 8 years. Maybe he'd like to break rocks for a while...

9. Fucking A! This is why Kerry is the man
I'm still pissed about the people who voted against him because it's far too late to be eating crow now with EVERY FUCKING THING going down the drain right now with the extra 4 years they gave the fucking "high functioning moron."

11. He donated way more than any other Dem pol in 2006, too
He bears a good deal of responsibility for getting a Dem majority in 06, and he's been working his ASS off for Obama and Dems this cycle, too. It pisses me off to no end when liberals don't give Kerry the immense credit he's due - he has done more for our cause than just about any other individual person associated with the Democratic party.
