Mika's decompensating! Call her therapist!

Mika's affect has radically changed in the last 2 weeks. She's become the placating-yet-sarcastic mother-in-law for Joe's insanity. Her facial expressions, her use of hands, her body language is getting intensely weird.

I defies description...you have to watch. Problem is, Joey's sitting right next to her, and although that's good for diets, it's bad for the psyche.

1. The switch point was when McCain attacked her,she has moved into this eyerolling shrugging behavior

and other exaggerated non verbal communication ever since.

It is a whole lot of intentional body communication rather than verbal, I think its defensive because in a way she gets to say what she is feeling or trying to say she is feeling without the other people that cant see her, but only hear her, catching on.

That way she wont be attacked like she was, when instead of saying "oh come on I dont believe that" or "ohoh there goes joe going crazy"or "that cant be true" she just gives the over exaggerated physical visual SAYING the same thing to the camera and doesnt get heard or quoted as saying it but conveyed it none the less.

2. I dunno. I saw her briefly decline to even comment on Sarah Palin's

description of being gay as making a "choice." That looked pretty much like a roll over and die position. She can't even come out for the truth? What is she afraid of?

3. Domestic abuse ...

as someone who did grass roots social work for 15 years, I have a VERY hard time watching Morning Joe cause the dynamic is that of an abusive man, Mika the spouse/mother, the guests children and friends.

The trainwreck that show is comes back to Scarboro.

4. it is painful to watch -- maybe she wants people to think that she has a drinking problem
