Joe S: McCain did Palin a disservice by selecting her, do NOT "let Sarah be Sarah"

Oh my, Joe S. is measuring his words, but in no certain terms has rendered judegemnt on Palin- she can handle Alaska, not the vice presidency. He thinks the Repub meme, that the McCain camp is not lettig "Sarah be Sarah" is absurd.

5. I still don't understand that meme

She stood up at a podium and read off a teleprompter with someone else's speech on it, much of which was written before she was even chosen. Then she basically just regurgitated the same speech for two weeks on the campaign trail before attempting to do a couple media interviews.

Based on this, how do people arrive at the conclusion that they know what "being Sarah" is. I'd conclude that the product you see with Katie Couric is MUCH closer to the real thing that the one at the podium in Minnesota.
