I told the staffer that I appreciated Zell's statement that he was "born a Democrat and will die a Democrat". I then asked as politely as possible if he could please make that sooner rather than later. After about 15 seconds of silence while the staffer tried to deconstruct what I had said, he hung up. Juvenile? Probably, but it felt good.
