I don't know if this has been posted recently, but I just got a viral email, with a photoshopped picture of Obama shining Palin's shoes, from one of my "God loving" republican acquaintances.

I am at a loss of words. The picture was stolen from an Australian photographer, who apparently took a picture of a homeless man, trying to survive, shining a woman's shoes. The plagiarizer even left the original copyright information intact on it, making it look like that photographer was the source. Needless to say, he's pissed about it.

I won't even post the viral pic, but here are the photographers comments about it. He has since taken down the original.

"John, I've known you for over 10 years. I've been to your house for dinner, you've been to mine. I've trusted you with the alarm code to my house, and to watch over it while we've been out of town over the years. Never in those 10 years did I even begin to think that you were a racist, or that you would even think that this kind of crap is even remotely funny.

For your information, that picture was stolen from a photographer in Australia without his permission, It was originally a picture of a homeless man, simply trying to survive, shining a woman's shoes. The picture thief was stupid enough (or maybe it was his intent) to leave the original copyright information on it, making it appear like it came from that photographer.

You claim you're a "God fearing man". You claim you are a "christian". Lemme tell you, you had better start fearing that "God" of yours, because there is a special place in your hell for racists like you.

As of this moment, you are no longer welcome in or near my house. I have no time for people who claim to be a "child of God", yet refuse to see all human beings as one, regardless of the color of their skin, or which patch of dirt they live on, or what line on some imaginary map they live behind.

2. I got it last week from someone and it infuriated me.

It also made me very sad. I have known this person since we were in school and I am 72 years old. this is some of what I wrote to him.

"By you sending me this I found out something interesting about you and your Republican friends. This obviously is being circulated among you and I know it wasn't sent to me by mistake, I believe it was intentional. But it was a mistake to send it to me because it has changed my whole opinion of you. I will add I'm sure that it doesn't matter but you need to know what I think about this. I had no idea that you are a racist.

It seems to me that if a black man becomes educated and makes something of himself, certain white people get frightened. It's the old thing of "Let's make sure we keep Sambo or whatever you bigots call him, down because that is where he belongs." It is ludicrous to me that you are so fearful.

I am an excellent judge of people but I was wrong about you for sure. I guess you spoiled my record. To send that type of crap is ignorant and I would like to know one thing, where do you hide your white hood?"

He is blocked from my e-mail and has no other way to reach me. I guess you can say I had the last word!

I had asked him to stop sending me his Republican crap and he did for a while. Then this came. I had no way of knowing if it was by accident or not but it made me fully aware of what those jerks think is funny. As for him being ashamed, I doubt it because people like that think they are right. It's no big loss as I don't need people like that in my life or my e-mail.

10. I got it forwarded to me by my oldest brother.

Some of his friends sent it to him. In the past he would send me the BS emails for responses to send to them, usually he would clean up my responses, with this one he immediately cranked out the following email; (few notes - 1 all of these guys are Viet Nam era Vets, 2 the first three lines were in 36 point font/bold. 3 This brother was not an Obama fan six months ago.)
