silly theoretical question: Both McSame and Moosehunter quit the race today...
and the GOP scrambles to put 1) 2nd place finishing Republican on as Prez and 2) barely competent Repug on as VP... would the GOP have a prayer at all ?

1. Not much of a prayer.
But I don't think it's impossible that neither will be the candidate by election day. McCain seems to be becoming more and more erratic and Palin's best strategy seems to be to remain silent and have people think she's stupid (rather than open her mouth and remove all doubt).

2. Well, considering the GOP is the "Party of God"
I would think they'd have all kinds of prayers. Just not the right ones...

Check it out!

When Did Jesus Become Republican?: Rescuing Our Country and Our Values from the Right-- Strategies for a Post-Bush America

Amazon

When Did Jesus Become Republican critically examines how modern American politics relate to Jesus' vision of love and peace, questioning how right wing Republican policies fit with the Christian values they espouse. He shows how Democrats can embrace true Christian essentials in a way that authentically appeals not only to liberals, but to mainstream and conservative Christians.

3. Are zombies allowed?
I mean, it's theoretical, right?

So Lincoln Zombie/Regan Zombie.

Reagan served twice, so he has to be VP. Licoln was re-elected in 1864, but he served less than a year. Plus he could be grand-fathered in before term-limits

I know his politics don't exactly mesh with repugs today, but they sure do love to claim him.

4. I have a more interesting question.
What happens to the people who have already voted for the ticket?
