The Couric interview wasn't even that hard. |
|
What kind of newspapers do you read? What do you think of the bailout bill? I highly doubt Couric thought Palin would completely flub her easy questions. She just looked more and more surprise after each answer attempt. It wasn't remotely close to Meet-the-press style scrutiny. If she can't even answer easy questions that obviously are going to come up, what is she going to do in this debate? Is she really just going to say "you elite media liberal, I'm Joe six-pack (not the joe to my left), and we joe-six-packs don't care about silly things like facts"?

1. It wasn't hard at all. Palin got ridiculously easy questions, and she still couldn't answer them. |

7. Even if she doesn't actually read any....why can't see even name one. |
|
I don't read newspapers because I get all my info here, on the internet. But, geez, if someone asked I could list a dozen.

4. I was appalled that she couldn't pull Time or Newsweek out of the ether. |
|
Not that I think she reads them, but she would have at least seen them at the grocery checkout. It would have been a plausible answer.

by picking some & leaving some out. It was very diplomatic & demonstrates an ability to bring different things together to solve problems in new and interesting ways.

9. Average Americans give a shit about foreign policy. |
|
The fact that she tries to imply that "Joe Sixpack" is as casual and uninterested as she is is just insulting.
