My hope: Biden will make mincemeat of her
and toss her into the jaws of the howling media wolves.

My fear: She'll bat her mascaraed lashes, speak in comprehensible syntax, and the media wolves will fall to the ground and lick her feet.

1. It will be like Biden putting her in the wood chipper in the movie "Fargo"

2. I'm looking forward to the debate!
I've cleared my schedule. I plan to put my son to bed early, pop some popcorn, make some kool-aid and enjoy the show.

3. There's a chance she could pull out a decent night, but I don't think that it'll happen.
Given that Mooseburger hasn't had a decent performance answering questions to date, and that the debate is 90 mins long, I'd say the odds are good that she'll crash and burn.

4. It will be both
The media are pretty much in McCain's corner because either they want him to win, have been told to go easy on him by their corporate masters, or because they need to make the race as tight as possible for ratings, but their message doesn't seem to be working. They played up Sarah Palin like crazy, but her negatives have gone way up and her positives way down. A lot of pundits said McCain won the first debate, but the polls taken afterward disagreed, etc.

The bar for Sarah to get over is very low for the media - it's a chalk line on the floor of the basement while she's on the second floor. The public though seems to be paying more attention, and that's an encouraging trend.
