1. As of right now, we are looking at a landslide
Id love to see what his numbers are like in North Dakota and Montana. I wouldnt be surprised if it was close again.

2. So much for Wisconsin being a toss up.
CNN was spinning a few days ago that Obama didn't "connect" with values voters in Wisconsin and Michigan, total bs.

3. When I was phone banking the other day, there
were still a lot of undecideds I got on the phone in Wisconsin. For the life of me, I don't know what it will take for these people to make up their minds. I wonder if they know themselves.

5. That's excellent! People are learning who he is! The last thing McCain wanted was his visibility.
The debates are going to push Obama ever-forward as people learn to trust him over McMad-at-everybody.

8. If Wisconsin goes to Obama, I know Minnesota will
They tend to lean a little more to the right.

9. I disagree. Wisco is pretty down the middle with a slight left lean
Our senators and Governor are all dems.

11. The forum and the OP are both about the PRESIDENTIAL race
... so pardon me for making a post that didn't consider the party affiliations of governors and U.S. senators.

I've crunched the numbers for the past 3 presidential elections and found that Clinton, Gore and Kerry all won by much narrower margins in Wisconsin than they did in Minnesota. And if I wanted to waste the time going back further, I'm pretty confident that the trend would hold for most presidential elections back to at least 1976.

That said, you are correct that WI thankfully still leans slightly left and has Dems in those 3 key positions.

Go Packers!

14. I didn't
What I said (posted) was, "They (WI) tend to lean a little more to the right (than Minnesota)."

It's a comparison using relative terms.

10. Well it's about time! His crowd in La Crosse this morning was 15,000
and that was 3 times the number they were expecting and it was a cool, fall morning and the temp was only in the 40s. I got to see his speech from just about 10 yards in front of Obama. The train is getting unstoppable momentum. Maybe McCain will concede before the election.
