A new poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama holding an 11-point lead over Republican John McCain in Minnesota.

The telephone poll, done for CNN and Time Magazine by Opinion Research Corp., has Obama ahead by 54 percent to 43 percent among likely voters.

Respondents were asked whom they would back in a head-to-head matchup and also were asked whom they supported when other party candidates were factored in. Obama's lead was roughly the same in each case.

The poll was conducted Sunday through Tuesday and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage poin
