Just an interesting thought... |
|
Imagine if McCain had the courage to go on Olbermann's show like Barack went on O'Reilly's show. Obama's interview with O'Reilly showed several things to ignorant people who have been given a caricature portrait of him by the right wing media including the likes of Limbaugh:
1. Much tougher on defense than people realize. 2. Far more practical and less about "love and peace" like the right wing keeps portraying. 3. VERY good temper. Able to deal with anything that is thrown at him in an interview. 4. Not afraid of anyone.
Imagine if McCain went on Olbermann's show and faced the same kind of questioning. He'd blow up and start yelling at Olbermann, and consequently his campaign would implode over night. That is the key difference between these two candidates. Above all else, if you disagree with Obama on the issues, there is no reason McCain should be getting your vote. The man has a horrible temper, acts like an immature spoiled brat when he doesn't get his way, and simply does not have the class and dignity that is required to be the President of this country.

2. He's starting to look more and more like Nixon to me. |
|
And I think Bush is within that same type, only not as complex, not as intelligent. McCain is very emotional, vindictive, paranoid, and just plain mean. He has a huge sense of entitlement. Everybody's gotta get out of his way because he was a POW and he's old.
Nixon: "It's not illegal if the President does it." Like that.

3. As far as intelligence goes... |
|
McCain comes up way short of Nixon. Nixon was pretty smart. Like you said, however, he was hugely egotistical, a crook, and probably too smart for his own good. McCain got the short end of the stick, just like Bush. Unfortunately, I fear McCain's temper is far stronger than Bush's.

5. Me too. It must be that suspicious, paranoid look |
|
he has in his eyes. And I agree - Nixon was sporting at least 30 IQ points on him.
A dim-witted Nixon is a truly scary thought.
