2. I Thought This Might Have Been Dan Quayles High Point In Politics
Gore still won the debate going away but Quayle gave a performance Sister Sarah could only dream about.

5. One thing Quayle did was never answered questions directly posed to him by Gore...
instead he tried to turn it right back on Gore.

I wonder if Palin's camp will try the same strategy. Biden needs to be mindful of this.

3. I wish I would have seen it from the beginning.
And I cannot get over how young Al looked. Wow.

4. Yeah, I was watching it.
Gore was being tag-teamed by both Quayle and Stockdale on his statements and policies he advocated in his book.

Quayle stuck to his talking points: taxes, blah, blah, clinton lies, blah blah, etc.

Stockdale talked about what others told him.

Gore was able to talk about everything easily.

7. So interesting how Gore
talked about the importance of environmental awareness even then! I was too young to pay attention to the election in 1992 and just knew at the time that Clinton was "our guy" (thanks, liberal Mom and Dad!) - so this is really fascinating to see. Al was really prescient.

8. Amazing to me...
how similar this year's election is with that one. The only major differences are a serious 3rd party candidate and the fact that there is no incumbent candidate running.
