I have a crisis.
The local party gang is having a viewing event at a local bistro. It would be fun to go out & join them, but if I do, I'm likely to get too bombed to drive home. I REALLY don't need a DUI or something.

What should I do?

1. Call a cab, get a ride from a friend, or stay home.

17. I always advise taking a cab if you've been drinking. Much cheaper than a DUI.

First choice: STAY HOME. Second choice: TAKE A CAB.
Both ways so you don't have to leave your car at the bar.

6. Can you cab there and cab back?
Or drive there and cab back to get your car in the AM?

Perhaps once we're x points ahead, we can redirect surplus campaign funds to the party cab fund?

9. Call a tow truck
That way you have your car at home in the morning. Not any more expensive than a cab sometimes.

If you have AAA, Pull your battery cable, and ask them to tow your car home for "repair".

whenever Palin says something stupid or refuses to answer a question.

That would get anyone hammered!

29. Well, your options are pretty limited
Barring any point to point flights or trains available, you've got ...

a) a horse -- cheap on gas but hard to store in the city

b) Segway* -- gotta be near an outlet

c) horse and buggy (see A)

d) a pogo stick (that's gonna hurt going home, though)

e) skateboard (see D)

f) Strong litter carriers to lift you above the streets (see a and d)

g) A cab

I'd go with g personally.

*This only applies to non-Republicans.
