Rudy, the movie, not the asshole |
|
An unqualified player is allowed in the game at the last minute for one play. He does good, but then everyone acts as if he won the game single-handedly while the real players look on. No wonder she likes it.
Hoosiers, the head coach is taken out of the big game and the assistant coach, who nobody thought could handle it, has to step in.

that only dopes think could translate to reality.
That's what Matt Damon meant when he said the Palin nomination is like a bad Disney movie.

In Ruettiger's defense, it was his teammates who carried him off the field.

but Rudy is based on a true story of a guy that was too small to play but walked on at Notre Dame only to toil on the practice squad. He works hard and earns his teammates' respect and gets to dress for a game, and gets into the game at the end. No one acted like he won the game, they were just happy for him that he got to play. You may have been high when you watched that movie, if you watched it at all.
