I get the sense Biden is a wonderful family man |
|
He strikes me as someone with a lot of heart who is in politics for all the right reasons. Not to mention he is really fucking smart! I am glad Obama picked him. He has shown to be well rounded as a VP candidate.

9. Thanks elleng, and I have no doubt that Obama will tap Joe |
|
on a lot of topics. I don't think Obama would have picked Joe if he intended for his VP to stay in the background. If he had, he could have picked Kaine, or Bayh. I also think Obama is really into getting out reputation back in the eyes of the world, and Joe can be very helpful there too, since he knows all of the world leaders. He can give insight to Obama as to their character, and their personalities.

6. What kind of an underhanded statement is that? |

It's not a stretch at all. Never has been.

5. And the all-important qualification: |
|
I'd like to have a beer with the guy! Seriously, I would! I think I'd be absolutely at ease from the start--and I bet he's a hoot too.

This is one of the (many) things I like about him... just the manner in which he relates his family history reveals an intimacy and tenderness in their relationships that is rare indeed. I think both of our guys have a great emotional capacity that isn't found all that often in politicians.
